About Mark

Mark first joined the Real Estate Industry after moving to Townsville from a North Western Queensland Cattle property in 2000. It soon became apparent that with his “no bull” attitude in finding the right buyer and marketing the home correctly, his sellers were getting great results - even in a tough market. Real Estate is never about just banging up a sign and waiting for the phone to ring - no two properties are the same and no two owners are the same, it’s this approach that has gotten Mark recognised 3 times by the prestigious “L J Hooker Captains Club”, an award that is highly sought after and only given to the top 15% of sales people worldwide within the L J Hooker network of offices.

Marks talents are held in such high regard that several sales agents and owners of other real estate firms have chosen Mark to sell their own property rather than one of their own staff. Mark is continuously searching for ways to ensure his clients get the very best service – whether they are buying, selling or leasing.

He was striving for something more to offer his clients, so in July 2018 when the opportunity came for him to work under the Harcourts Kingsberry banner it just made good sense to make the change. As early as 1903 the business had been trading as Brownhill & Kirk covering everything from Real Estate, Stock and Station Agents and even the sale of timber to build what has now become Townsville City today. In 1983 Nev & Rosemary Kingsberry took over the business and changed the name to Kingsberry. They remained committed to buying, selling and leasing but they introduced Strata Management to their expertise, from a local perspective this was something that was desperately needed in Townsville.

In 2011 Nev and Rosemary made the decision to retire and pass the reins to their son Ben, his wife Ashely and their son Sonny. When Mark was asked why Harcourts Kingsberry after all these years, the answer was simple - it’s a family company with family values and ethics, when we take on your property - we take on the responsibility that comes with it.

"Mark was a great asset in selling the house. I'd certainly use him again if I had more property to sell in Townsville. Regards Ian - Mundingburra"
